The voltage and current values of the
data signals of standardised data transmission systems are too
small to guarantee reliable data transmission via conductor lines
over a long period. The SLB therefore adapts the data to the
prevalent conditions for data transmission.
With the SLB4, R. STAHL FÖRDERTECHNIK
offers an intelligent bus coupler optimised for transferring
serial data, such as Profibus, via conductor lines and sliprings.
Its particular strength as regards technology and economy is to be
found where data are to be transferred via conductor lines in
complex systems with curves, cross-overs and switch points, or to
several vehicles simultaneously.
The adaptation is completely
transparent and without any delay time so that the software and
hardware for controlling the data transmission via conductor lines
can remain unchanged. A further advantage of the SLB4 is the
galvanic separation of the various users. Thus the SLB4 is also
suitable for cable systems with extremely long lead lengths.
